PouchQuit ("PouchQuit," "we," "us," or "our") is designed as a local-first app for tracking nicotine pouch use, cravings, savings, and quit-plan progress. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
Information You Enter
The app may store information you choose to enter, including:
- Quit-plan settings, such as your start date, goal type, selected pace, and baseline pouches per day.
- Nicotine pouch logs, including time, strength, and optional trigger information.
- Craving logs, including intensity, trigger, resisted status, and optional notes.
- Spending information, such as weekly spend, can price, currency, and pouches per can.
- Onboarding answers, including your reason for quitting, concerns, quit experience, and confidence level.
- Reminder preferences, such as whether reminders are enabled and what times they should appear.
How Your Information Is Stored
The current version of PouchQuit stores app data locally on your device using Apple platform storage. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate a PouchQuit server that receives your quit-plan logs.
If you back up your device, migrate to a new device, or use Apple device services, Apple may process device backup or system data according to Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
How We Use Information
Information you enter is used to provide app features, including:
- Creating and adjusting your quit or reduction plan.
- Calculating daily pouch limits, progress, streaks, and savings estimates.
- Showing recent activity and trend charts.
- Personalizing motivation, rescue prompts, and reminder copy.
- Scheduling local notifications if you enable reminders.
What We Do Not Do
In the current version of the app, we do not:
- Sell your personal information.
- Use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking SDKs.
- Require an account.
- Send your pouch logs, craving logs, notes, or onboarding answers to our own servers.
- Use your data to provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or emergency support.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, PouchQuit uses local notifications on your device. You can manage notification permissions in iOS Settings. Notification scheduling is used only to provide reminders you request.
App Store, Reviews, and Apple Services
The app may ask Apple to show the system review prompt. Apple controls whether and when that prompt appears. Interactions with the App Store, app downloads, purchases, reviews, and Apple system services are governed by Apple's privacy practices.
If You Contact Us
If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message content, and any screenshots or diagnostic details you send. We use that information to respond to you and improve the app.
Children and Minimum Age
PouchQuit is intended for people who are legally permitted to use nicotine-related cessation or reduction tools in their location. The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Health and Sensitive Information
Some information you enter may be sensitive because it relates to nicotine use, cravings, habits, spending, or goals. Please use care when entering notes or sharing screenshots from the app. PouchQuit is not a HIPAA-covered healthcare provider or health plan.
Deleting Your Data
Because the current version stores app data locally, you can remove locally stored app data from your device by deleting the app. You may also edit or remove individual logs where the app provides those controls.
If you have contacted us by email and want us to delete support communications we can reasonably identify, contact us using the information below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. If we add features such as accounts, cloud sync, analytics, subscriptions, or third-party services, this policy should be updated to describe those practices.
